Questions

Are your pieces made to order?
Yes. Almost everything is built to order in our Portsmouth workshop, which means lead times of a few weeks but also that timber, dimensions and finish can be tailored to you.
Can I commission a custom piece?
Absolutely — commissions are a core part of what we do. Tell us about the space, the use and the feeling you are after through the contact form and we will come back with sketches and a quote.
What materials and finishes do you use?
We work primarily in solid hardwoods — white oak, ash, walnut and reclaimed teak — finished with hard-wax oils that are repairable and food-safe. We avoid veneers and plastic-based coatings.
How long does an order take?
Smaller objects typically ship in 2–4 weeks. Larger furniture and commissions usually take 6–10 weeks depending on the queue. We will confirm a timeline before any work begins.
Do you ship, and where?
We ship across the continental United States. Small items go by carrier; larger furniture ships freight, blanket-wrapped. Local delivery and installation around the Seacoast can be arranged.
How do I care for my piece?
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and refresh the oil finish once or twice a year. Keep solid wood out of direct, prolonged sun and away from heat sources. Every order ships with a care card.
What is your return policy?
Made-to-order and commissioned work is non-returnable, but it is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship. If something is not right, contact us and we will make it right.
